Bought some LEDs for my tail lights for $7 for 10 on amazon (that's a lot of 'for') and just got them installed! No brake or reverse lights yet, but everything else is LED.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Fun fact: that black "webbing" on the side of the light is only present on 2000 models.

Also moved my speakers to the trunk. My spare tire is feeling the squeeze.

Well done. That looks like quite a process to change those bulbs.

22 nuts had to come off. It was an immense pain in the ass.

You're supposed to use a ratchet.

Please test them in daylight. Many of the low end bulb replacements look great at night but fail miserably in the day. People can't tell if they are on. A friend almost got rear ended and then got pulled over for not having brake lights.

The ratchet was only useful to break them loose. After that they spun so freely I had to hand-loosen them all the way down the inch-long threaded posts. Ugh.

I will admit to not getting it.

You said it was an immense pain in the ass.

I said you should have used a ratchet.

Implying you were removing them using your ass.

Oh. I thought that was normal. Sphincters: Nature's wrench.

So I don't know if this is true or if it only counts for LED headlight conversions, but since LEDs draw less power it can do something like blow fuses or cause them to burn out more quickly if they don't have some circuitry to compensate. I'm only vaguely recalling reading something along those lines so here's a grain of salt.

Yeah, my turn signals do signal ever slightly so faster since I also replaced the front upper turn signals.
